{"id":8,"date":"2018-11-11T16:35:11","date_gmt":"2018-11-11T16:35:11","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/demo.sharkthemes.com\/cheery-pro\/?page_id=8"},"modified":"2018-11-11T16:35:11","modified_gmt":"2018-11-11T16:35:11","slug":"vintage-1950s","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/demo.sharkthemes.com\/cheery\/vintage-1950s\/","title":{"rendered":"Vintage 1950s"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Variation in the colour of the eyes from brown to green can all be explained by the amount of melanin in the iris, but blue-eyed individuals only have a small degree of variation in the amount of melanin in their eyes. \u201cFrom this we can conclude that all blue-eyed individuals are linked to the same ancestor,\u201d says Professor Eiberg. \u201cThey have all inherited the same switch at exactly the same spot in their DNA.\u201d Brown-eyed individuals, by contrast, have considerable individual variation in the area of their DNA that controls melanin production.<\/p>\n<p>Professor Eiberg and his team examined mitochondrial DNA and compared the eye colour of blue-eyed individuals in countries as diverse as Jordan, Denmark and Turkey.
